Charles Montier

Charles Montier

At 23, Charles is an accomplished adventurer with a number of expeditions in Nepal, Peru and Guyana.

By undertaking this expedition through one of the world's most hostile and unforgiving environments, Charles is looking to further test his physical and mental capabilities.

By going alone and placing his trust in the local Amerindians, he will learn to live much as one of them, using the same survival and hunting techniques that have ensured their continued existence for thousands of years. This approach, he believes, is the key to successfully completing the expedition.

Danny Daniels

Danny Daniels

Young (17), fun and very determined, Danny is a brilliant guy to have on the team. Having lived his whole life in the remote jungle village of Chenapau, the rainforest acted as his playground from an early age, giving him a deep understanding of this hostile yet beautiful environment.

He has never travelled far from his village, which is located on the banks of the Potaro, so the expedition is an exciting opportunity for him to further discover his traditional lands.

Rupert Williams

Rupert Williams

20 years experience working and travelling in the Guyanese interior have given Rupert essential skills to help the team safely overcome the numerous falls and survive in the rainforest.

Possessing great strength and a wicked sense of humour, he is a crucial member of the team and the expedition will give him the opportunity to pass on all he has learnt and experienced in the jungle to his younger companions.

Rupert has only travelled on the headwaters of the Potaro River, so he is eager to explore the rest of the river.
